  58. The ST05X Host Adapter is used in conjunction with the Seagate XT
  59. interface drives and an IBM PC/XT (or compatible) computer.
  60.  
  61. The ST05X is a half-slot board.  It provides a 40-pin XT interface
  62. connector for systems lacking an XT interface drive connector on the
  63. motherboard.  The ST05X supports two drives only.
  64.  
  65. The ST05X provides address decoding for hard drive I/O and buffering
  66. of signals between the host and the hard drive.  The BIOS address is
  67. jumper-selectable.  Additionally, the ST05X offers the following
  68. features for IBM PS/2 Model 25/30 or Drive-on-a-card applications:

  77. 1.0 ST05X Configuration

  79. The ST05X requires no special installation software.  The XT interface
  80. drive can be low-level formatted using the ST05X BIOS (DOS Debug
  81. command G=C800:5) or the system BIOS. For additional information,
  82. refer to the drive's Product Manual.

  140. J4 is a 6-pin, right-angle header.  J4 may be used to supply DC power
  141. to a hard drive.  This is provided for systems which lack an available
  142. power harness or Drive-on-a-card applications.  Refer to Figure 1.
